The edit button has been replaced with "Config", which opens a new menu with different options such as: View Authorized Players, Edit Boat, Repair, Engine Configuration, and Wallpapers. This menu will allow me to add more options in the future.
All configs related to lights have been grouped and reorganized into a single block.
The boat’s maximum health is now displayed as well, not just the current health, with a colored background health bar.
Fixed the obsolete API Pool.GetList.
Improvements to the cannon control system:
Added an NPC limit to the config (MaxCannons) for those generated to handle cannons, default set to 0 (no limit applied).
NPCs now have an identifying number, allowing you to control them individually. Select which NPCs you want to manage (by default, all will be enabled).
When NPCs fire (without the permission that bypasses cooldown), they now play the fuse sound effect.
Sail Configuration System:
Displays a window similar to the config menu showing all sails placed on the boat.
Each sail shows its health amount below it.
Added a button that allows upgrading sails by levels (thrust power). Everything is configurable, including upgrade costs (in-game resources, ServerRewards, or Economy). This allows admins to add as many levels as they want in the config.
Engine Configuration System:
Displays a window similar to the config menu showing all engines placed on the boat.
Each engine shows its fuel amount and health below it.
Added the ability to refuel engines using fuel from the player’s inventory.
Added another button that allows upgrading engines by levels (fuel efficiency and engine power). Everything is configurable, including upgrade costs (in-game resources, ServerRewards, or Economy). This allows admins to add as many levels as they want in the config.
Important: There is a maximum speed limit in the game. I have been testing ways to increase the speed, but I still need to continue researching and testing to find the best way to increase it.
Automatic repair system:
If damage is received during repair, it will stop.
If the player runs out of materials in their inventory, it will stop.
If the player disconnects, it will also stop.
Important: The boat health system is unusual and does not work like a normal building, so the system simulates repairs at different points on the boat depending on the percentage of health lost. That is why you will not hear the actual damaged entity being repaired.
BetterTC Integration:
If you have BetterTC installed with version 1.6.2 or higher, the automatic Wallpaper placement system will be enabled. (Facepunch will add wallpaper support for Boats starting in March; you can test it meanwhile on staging).
New configuration parameters:
Repair Cooldown After Recent Damage (seconds)
Cooldown Frequency Repair (larger number is slower)
Repair Costs (ItemShortName: Amount per block/component)
Require fuel to turn on lights, disabled by default.
Impact Force Physics: Adds movement to boats when impacted by cannons. Play around with this config yourselves...
New permissions added:
boatcontrol.sailconfig
boatcontrol.sailupgrade
boatcontrol.engineconfig
boatcontrol.engineupgrade
boatcontrol.wallpaper (Remember this will only work if you have BetterTC version 1.6.2)
boatcontrol.repair and boatcontrol.repair.nocost as well as dynamic configuration permissions to adjust speeds.
There are many changes and new features/improvements.
Please let me know if you encounter any issues. I’d also appreciate a review on the plugin—it really helps me a lot.
New config option: Blocks anchor activation in a safe zone. Also blocks manual activation. (Prevents boats from anchoring in the Fishing Village)
New config option: Blocks boat editing in a safe zone (Same as above)
New config option: Allows turning lights off and on with the R key. Lights are now cached when you take the helm, so they won’t be checked every time you toggle lights on/off. Spam from toggling shouldn’t be a problem, but a "Light Toggle Cooldown" was added anyway.
Added new permission: boatcontrol.cannonuse — If the player doesn’t have it enabled, the option to control cannons won’t appear in the interface. Not having this permission will not block manual/vanilla use.
Added new permission: boatcontrol.authlist — Shows the list of players authorized to the Boat, similar to BetterTC.
Added new permission: boatcontrol.deleteauth — Allows authorized players to remove player permissions individually.
Now when sails, engines, anchor, or lights are active, the button background color changes slightly. This can now also be customized in the config.
